Derrick Linfoot
Derrick Linfoot - Lead Vocals.

Born and raised in Calgary, AB,
Grew up loving music like most kids/teens did during the late 1980's into the 1990's. Derrick was an active member with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Calgary until 1995, He then went off to join the Canadian Army Military, before returning back to Calgary, AB in 1996. Derrick met Michael Bourne during his time with the Sea Cadet Corps. Interest in singing for the band began shortly afterwards with multiple conversations about forming a band with Michael Bourne their mutual friend Jason late in 1996.

Derrick moved to Campbell River, BC in 2003, when the band had moved on to different career paths. While Derrick and his family moved back to Calgary by late 2000's, with his kids and family. Derrick helped reform Mystic Blue with Michael and AJ in 2015, where they began the newest chapter of Mystic Blue.

Michael Bourne

Michael always had a strong connection with music since his early childhood days. Most of Michael's desire and ambitions come from growing up surrounded with music, while also admiring his Grandfather & Father's musical careers. Michael began to play Drums at the age of 10 imitating his favorite drummer, Ringo Starr. At 13, Michael soon changed to Guitar, while imitating his Father and his musical idols, The Beatles and The Ventures. Michael's musical tastes are widely influenced by many different styles of music, but early British Rock and instrumental rock is what drove his interest.
Michael met Derrick while working with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Calgary in 1993. Michael stayed an active member of the Sea Corps until 1999, when he stepped away and retired from his position within the Corps. During this time with the Sea Cadet Corps, Derrick and Michael's friendship grew and became the best of friends in no time. By 1996, the interest for forming a band began after multiple conversations with their mutual friend Jason.

Michael left Mystic Blue in 2001, when he moved to Toronto, ON to pursue a career opportunity. During Michael's time in Toronto, he was a member of Red Light Band for a few years. During his time with Red Light Band, Michael got the pleasure of playing in some of Toronto's great venues, with the highlight of playing at the Jeff Healey Bar, while getting met Jeff Healey, but getting to play while Jeff was present in the audience. After a few years, Michael then moved on to join Exit 88. His time with Exit 88 was short lived as the band took a different direction and totally reconstructed into a new group and musical style. During all this time, Michael become friends with some great bands within the Toronto area, namely All The Brightness. By 2008, Michael stopped playing within the Toronto Music scene, when he moved to Kingston, ON for another career opportunity. Michael had stopped playing with any bands with the move to Kingston, ON. In 2013, Michael decided to return back to Calgary, AB. Michael had a deep desire to be performing music once again, so in 2015 he reached out to some of his old band mates and other musical friends, inquiring about getting together and forming a band. As luck has it, it wasn't long til this band was back down to The 3 Original members. They regrouped and began the newest chapter of Mystic Blue.

AJ Pearce
AJ Pearce - Drums

AJ moved to Calgary in 1995 with his family, where he quickly became an active member of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps. AJ made friends with Michael very early on when he arrived in the Cadet Corps. AJ played Marching Drums during his early days of his involvement within cadets. Michael was Divisional Leader of the Band division, where he got to know and work with AJ, while showcase AJ's drumming skills to his best. AJ showed his strong love for acting and live theatre as well and his deep love hate relationship with Professional Wrestling.

During this time with the Sea Cadet Corps, Derrick & Michael approached AJ inquiring if he was interested in joining their band and filing in for recently departed original drummer Jason. AJ had never played a full set of drums before, but felt he was skilled enough in his mind to play a set of drums. He was very intrigued and willing to join in, while growing his love of playing music and drums. In 1998, AJ decided to leave the band and pursue his love of acting and theatre.

AJ soon moved on to bigger and grander adventures during the early 2000's. While traveling around the UK, working as a University Professor, teaching/sharing his love of acting and theatre. AJ also dabbled in his love of Wrestling at one point, with minor success. AJ meet his wife while living in England and eventually moved back to Calgary with his young family, in the early part of the 2010's. AJ helped reform Mystic Blue in 2015 with Derrick and Michael. AJ continues to act in successful local Calgary theatre plays, while the band thinks he secretly still wrestles from time to time, here and there.
